Traditional Sakuhachi Bamboo flutes, end blown. These flutes have the traditional mouth piece. Although difficult at first to blow, they have a very haunting and healing tone. Used originally by Buddist monks, the Sakuhachi flute doubled as a weapon in an era when all weapons were taken from the people. They helped to portect the monks while they traveled as well as gave them large lung cpapcity for chanting and reaching enlightenment.
